Learn about Scouting America from the ground up. Kemi will take you on an exploration through the Waterloo District, Capitol Area Council providing you with a general understanding of Scouting America here in Austin and throughout the USA.
About our Speaker:
Adekemi (Kemi) Ademuyewo brings over 10 years of experience in urban planning and strategic program coordination to the team. Her professional background is diverse, featuring roles as a Community Planner for the US DOT Federal Highway Administration and a Community Ambassador for Austin’s East Riverside Corridor. She specializes in managing complex stakeholder relationships and facilitating inclusive public forums for groups of over 400 people.
Kemi holds a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Now a local Austinite, she stays active in the community by volunteering with the Austin Public Library and running around Lady Bird Lake. She looks forward to utilizing her expertise in volunteer supervision and community-led programming to support the mission of Scouting America. In her role as District Executive, Kemi will support Waterloo staff and volunteers in delivering Scouting Programs to 500 youth across Travis and Hays counties.
