What’s in a name? At The Girls’ School of Austin, the name is the simplest expression of their mission: to provide an intellectually challenging education for girls in a supportive and creative environment, and to inspire girls to achieve personal excellence and go on to lead distinguished and fulfilling lives.
The Girls’ School of Austin is a community of educators and families that creates a foundation for girls to achieve personal and academic excellence. They focus on providing an intellectually challenging education in a supportive and creative environment that complements girls’ unique intellectual and social development between ages 5 and 14. The core curriculum includes Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Technology (S.E.T.), Spanish, Art, Music (Strings and Piano) and Physical Education.
The Girls' School of Austin believes that AUSTIN is an important and distinctive part of our name. Every month, the faculty creates opportunities for girls to explore their Central Texas community and support their studies in science, humanities, civic affairs, art and music.
