In three years, Texas has created a strategic plan to build the nuclear industry in the state, with strong complementary support from the Administration. Texas has invested in massive additional nuclear research capabilities, nuclear generation capacity and a set of omnibus legislation which passed in the regular session of the Texas Legislature.
About our Speaker:
Andrew Kirima works at the intersection of energy, technology, and policy. His passion for entrepreneurship and innovation began at the University of Arizona, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering with a minor in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Currently, he serves as Director of Development at the Texas Nuclear Alliance, where he helped launch the Texas Nuclear Summit and advances initiatives to make Texas the Nuclear Capital. Andrew started his career in deep tech venture capital at Cantos Ventures, Bidra Innovation Ventures, and rpv Global, searching for and empowering the next generation of Neoindustrialists. In parallel, Andrew has operated with commercialization, capital, and development for companies domesticating critical technologies in the U.S., including Exodys Energy (nuclear fuel reprocessing) and Group1 (an American potassium-ion battery platform).
