Austin Founder Lions Club
Cindy Reed Director of Community Relations, Austin State Hospital Introduced by Lion Mac Ragsdale
May is Mental Health Month, and Austin Founder Lions are going to participate in a service project to benefit Austin State Hospital and the patients it serves. Cindy Reed, director of communication for Austin State Hospital, will guide the activity in which Lions produce positive messages/quotes which will be distributed to patients the first week of May along with a small gift, such as Word Search, Sudoku or crossword puzzle books. Cindy will provide all the supplies, including the paper, pens and sample quotes/messages to use as examples. She will also have the gifts for us to attach the messages to. Members may also bring additional puzzle books but they must be free of staples.
Members are asked to bring several puzzle books (see above). We will write as many notes as we can. At least 100 books are needed, so please bring several!
