Lion Gloria Munguía
This presentation by Lion Gloria Munguía will highlight the Lions Club International Peace Poster Contest. The Peace Poster Contest is a yearly program to inspire young people to showcase their talent, and to have them share their visions of peace. This year’s international them is “Peace Without Limits”. The contest is open to students who will be 11, 12, or 13 years of age on November 15, 2024. Special invited guests will be the student with the winning poster, his parents, and the art teacher at Gus Garcia Young Mens Leadership Academy.
About our Speaker:
Gloria Munguía is a retired Spanish teacher with 42 years experience. She has served in several capacities as a teacher and her honors include “Teacher of the Year” at Westwood High School and “Secondary Teacher Of the Year” in the Round Rock ISD. Gloria has had a lifetime interest in art, and received her degrees in English and Spanish from Texas A&I College in Kingsville, Texas. She has been a member of the Austin Founder Lions Club since 2020.

All sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato. Mustard and mayo on the side.
