The DASH (Diet Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Diet is one of the most researched and scientifically supported eating plans and is widely considered the leading approach to healthy eating for almost all adults. The DASH plan was originally developed to help prevent hypertension, but it is also a culturally inclusive, flexible, and balanced eating plan can prevent or reduce the risk of other chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, and some diet related cancers. In our session we will discuss the foundation of the DASH diet and why it works.
