About our speaker:
Dr. Arslan arrived in Austin in 1998 to pursue a Ph.D. at UT Austin in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department where he also taught courses as an Adjunct Professor. He is active in the interfaith community with the Dialogue Institute of Austin when he is not on his day job designing chips for the “Internet of Things” with Silicon Labs as a Distinguished Engineer. He has served on the boards of a number of local non-profit organizations including Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT), Raindrop Foundation Austin, and Leadership Austin and is currently serving as the chairman of the board of trustees of North American University. He is a husband and father to four children ranging in ages from 10 years to 20 years old.
