Astrophotography is the use of a camera attached to a telescope to capture faint objects in the night sky such as nebulae, galaxies, comets, the Milky Way and star clusters. The hobby has a steep learning curve and can require fairly expensive equipment. Today’s program will discuss light pollution issues, telescopes, mounts, cameras, and the post-processing of captured images.
