Tommie Ferguson Introduced by Lion Greg Dew
Did you know poisoning is the leading cause of unintentional death? In Texas, every day, poison centers get calls involving bites and stings from spiders and snakes, medication mix-ups, accidental overdoses, and more. Learn how you can be more aware of your surroundings, keep your family safe and stay poison-free.
The Central Texas Poison Center (CTPC) is a 24-hour poison emergency treatment and information resource for healthcare professionals and the public in Central Texas. The CTPC is part of the Texas Poison Center Network.
About our Speaker:
Tommie Ferguson graduated from Central Texas A&M with a Business Management degree in 2016. After beginning her career with Scott and White as a CMA, she quickly became the educator for the Central Texas Poison Center, where she has been for four years. She enjoys events, health fairs and educating those about the poison center and why this is a much needed resource.
