About our Speaker:

Raasin Mcintosh, CEO & Creative Director of Raasin in the Sun. She is a visionary, creative, and Track and Field Olympian, whose career spans nearly a decade specializing in community arts initiatives in cross-disciplinary collaborative work.

She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a BA in Communications. She has extensive experience in managing, producing, facilitating and coordinating, mural arts, public arts, beautification, creative placemaking, restorations, and community engagement initiatives.

Collaborative partners have included Allbirds, Dell Children’s Health Plan, Six Square, The Urban League, The Carver Museum, Public City, Endeavor Real Estate, Spratx, Art of Austin, Third Coast Collective, Hope Gallery, Laced and Found, Something Cool Studios, The Mosaic Workshop, Art Creative Alliance, Almost Real Things, Austin Independent School District, Austin Black Pride, Boss Babes Atx, The Groove Temple, Austin Parks Foundation, Cultural Arts Division, The Gilfillan Group, DWG, City of Austin, Human Rights Campaign, UMLAUF, AGLIFF, and Big Medium among others. She serves on the Board of Directors for the following organizations: Austin Downtown Alliance Foundation, Hill Country Conservancy, the Almost Real Things Arts Advisory Board as well as Capital Metro Arts Advisory Committee.

In 2015 she founded Raasin in the Sun, a non Profit Organization, to pursue a lifelong passion to serve the community through the arts and environmental initiatives. Lead by a humanitarian drive to change the world for the better, her daily mantra motivates the mission "Rise and Shine" and “Be the Light Today for a Brighter Tomorrow.”
