Lion Connie Zschoche Introduced by Lion Ann Ward
Texas Lions Camp District 2-S3 Elected Director Connie Zschoche will provide an overview of Texas Lions Camp, and an update on recent activities, including the summer 2020 virtual TLC2U camp. Austin Founder Lions Club’s Ann Ward was elected secretary of the TLC Board on Aug. 1, and she will join Connie in talking about the next steps in implementation of the Vision 2020 Master Plan. New members will learn about what many view as the “crown jewel” of Texas Lions activities, and long-time members will hear the latest TLC news.
About our Speaker:
Lion Connie Zschoche and her husband, Don, moved to Texas from California in 2005 after their retirements. Connie retired twice, first from the San Bernardino Superior Court in 2004 after 20 years and the second time in 2017 from the IRS after 10 years. They have six children, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. They love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
The couple joined the Lago Vista Lions Club in 2006 and have been active in the Texas Lions Camp ever since. In 2014, Connie took the position of Texas Lions Camp Chairperson for her club, setting up work days and camp service days. She also finds campers to sponsor each year, with an annual goal of a minimum of 10 campers. Connie has been honored to receive the following awards: Melvin Jones Fellow, Jack Wiech Fellow and Lion of the Year. She was appointed to a two-year term as TLC Elected Director for the North part of District 2-S3 in May. The Texas Lions Camp is very near and dear to her heart.
