How Austin Community College is Serving through Continuing Education
June 6 ,2019

Hector Aguilar, PhD
Dean of Continuing Education, Austin Community College
Introduced by Lion Scott Hendrix
A great education isn’t always measured in college credits. ACC’s Continuing Education programs provide citizens of Central Texas with convenient access to a wide selection of noncredit courses that can open doors to a new career, build skills for a current job, or simply expand knowledge in a subject of interest.
The programs offered at ACC range from fields of Technology and Trades, Health Science, Engineering, Business, and Teaching, as well as many others. Programs are offered during evening and weekend hours and are available both in classroom and online formats.
Dr. Hector Aguilar has been on the faculty of ACC for over twenty years and served as Dean of Continuing Education Programs since 2010. He earned a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State, a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration from U.T. Austin.
