Sporting Clay Shoot-Out

Austin Founder Lions Club’s Sporting Clay Shoot-out

The NFL Alumni – Austin Chapter is supporting the Shoot-Out again this year. As Lions Clubs International has added a focus on diabetes, the beneficiary for 2019 is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – Austin Chapter. In addition to educating local parents and caregivers of Type 1 diabetic children, JDRF – Austin Chapter helps recruit campers for Texas Lions Camp.

Individuals and companies are invited to field a team of four, each of whom will shoot at 10 different stations. Participants must provide their own guns; only 12- or 20-gauge shotguns are allowed as all shells for the tournament are provided at each station. Participants are not allowed to carry shells on the course. The fee for four shooters – including breakfast, lunch and shells – is $900. Team sponsors will be listed in the program and on the scoreboard.

Tournament Schedule

9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Team check-in, breakfast and warm-up
9:30 – 1:00 p.m. Flurry Competition
10:00 a.m. Shotgun start
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch
1:00 p.m. Recognition and Awards Ceremony

Registration fee includes shooting warm-ups, breakfast, lunch, beverages, snacks and shotgun shells for the shoot-out. Mulligans – available at $10 each – also provide chances on a drawing for a firearm prize.

Participation in the Flurry Competition is $50 per pair of shooters and includes shells. Coordinate shooting with your partner for highest scores as 30 clays are pulled in 60 seconds. On-site registrations will be accepted. Each Flurry participant will receive a chance in a drawing for a special prize for each flurry entry. There is no limit to the number of flurries entrants may shoot.
