Campaign 100: Empowering Service

 Lion Shirley Dillman
Introduced by Lion Leonor Marques

Lion Shirley is originally a farm girl from Lincoln, NE where she earned her teaching degree at the Uni. of NE at Lincoln. She taught four decades from Nebraska, to Japan, to CA, and Montana. She started her real estate business in small town Culbertson, Montana.

She became a ‘dues paying’ Lion in 1994. It was 4 years later she became a ‘dedicated’ Lion after visiting Leader Dog where she witnessed the tears of joy the visually impaired persons shed when they received their free Best Friend.

After retiring from teaching in 2002 she became District Governor of Eastern Montana. She also served 2 years as MD 37 Membership Chairperson (that’s all of Montana and Alberta, Canada).

In 2005 she moved from the icebox of northern Montana to the oven of Round Rock. She was immediately appointed District LEO Chairperson, then Peace Poster, Youth Opportunities, Leos, GMT and now our District LCIF Ambassador.
