Byron Webre

Seton’s collaboration with UT and Central Health is creating Austin’s first true Academic Medical District that will revolutionize the way they deliver healthcare, and bring world-class healthcare to our community. Seton is building this cutting edge teaching and research hospital to train medical students to be doctors from Austin’s first medical school under construction. This will benefit you, me, and our families for generations to come, and provide huge economic and social impacts for our community. Studies show a minimum of $2 Billion in spending per year pumped back into our local economy.

Byron Webre works for Seton Healthcare, specifically the capital campaign team raising funds for their new Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas.

Byron grew up the son Air Force career officer, living in three overseas countries including Germany, Okinawa, and Turkey. He was in Television for 20 years as a Broadcast Meteorologist in 7 different TV markets including San Antonio, Cincinnati, and Austin, where he was Chief Meteorologist for KEYE-TV from 2003-2008. He left television in 2008, and transitioned over to Development in the nonprofit world, where he became Development Director for Summit Christian Academy. He left Summit to become Director of Development for the Former Texas Rangers Foundation – the law enforcement body, not the baseball team. There he helped raise funds to build Phase I of the Texas Rangers Heritage Center in Fredericksburg.

He married his wife Amy in 1996 and they have two precious boys Drake (13) and Dawson (11). They also have a 6 pound Yorkie named Cookie, and recently adopted a fat mutt mix named Otis who has stolen their hearts. He loves to play golf, but will hack and spray the ball with the best of them. He tries to stay in shape by running and lifting weights, but always comes up with excuses to miss.
