Putting the Spring back in Spring
March 19, 2015
Speaker: Anne Rogers
Introduced by Lion Terry Heller

Do you wonder why desire starts out so high at the beginning of a relationship, but so often diminishes? Or thought that maybe other people’s sexual experiences were different/better/more exciting than your own? Do you worry you’ll get too old for sex altogether?

Journalist Anne Rodgers, author of "Kiss and Tell: Secrets of Sexual Desire from Women 15 to 97" with gynecologist and sexual counselor Dr. Maureen Whelihan, answers these exact questions based on a survey of 1,300 women and 100 in-depth interviews.

Anne shares stories from her book at this week's meeting, divulging what her research told her that women think about during sex, what they wish their lovers would stop doing, and what consistently puts them in the mood. Their stories will touch you, teach you and energize you—and maybe even revitalize your own sex life.

Anne Rodgers is a freelance journalist who worked at the Austin American-Statesman for 18 years and The Palm Beach Post in West Palm Beach, FL., for nine years. She is the co-writer of an award-winning screenplay ("A Clear Field") and is taking notes for a second book about adventures in pet-sitting.

Note:  Dawson Road is blocked off due to SXSW. Tell the police officer at the barricade that you are going to a meeting at 700 Dawson ("the old Elks Club") and they should let you through.
