Work Day at Texas Lions Camp

This is the weekend when this club's members, family and friends help prepare the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville to receive the over 1600 kids during the summer. TLC provides, without charge, a camp for physically disabled, hearing/vision impaired, and diabetic children from the State of Texas, regardless of race, religion, or national origin. The camp is primarily funded by support from Lions Clubs in Texas.

The Work Day for the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville is set for Saturday, April 10.  Sign-up sheets will be available at each Thursday's Lions meeting, or you can email Lion Rudy Munguia (rmunguia@io.com) and get on the list.  The Austin Downtown Lions Club will join Lions from all over Texas to do a hands-on preparation of the Texas Lions Camp for the youth who will attend during the summer. We might be painting, cleaning, landscaping - whatever the camp needs us to do. They will let us know about a week ahead of time.

Overnight accommodations for Friday evening are available at the camp at no charge; contact Rudy to make arrangements.  Breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday.  Sign up early and enjoy the fellowship that this opportunity provides.
