About our Speaker:

Milton Dare is a senior health-care executive with 43 years of progressive, broad-based experience and accomplishments in administration, fund development, marketing and public relations. He has been nationally recognized for the marketing and public relations programs and fund-raising events he has developed and implemented through the years.

He has led the health care advancement teams at five different health care organizations and has been responsible for raising more than $32 million in charitable donations during his career.

He has worked for several health care organizations including Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Lubbock Methodist Hospital System, St. Joseph Health System in Bryan and Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville.

Milton is board-certified in Health Care Management, a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. He has been active with local Chambers of Commerce, United Ways, and a myriad of health care, church and community-based nonprofit organizations wherever he and his family have lived.

He is married to Sandra Wesch Dare (who is a school teacher at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Fredericksburg), and they have two grown sons, Matthew and Michael, both of whom are involved in health care careers. Matthew works at the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute at St. David’s Hospital in Austin, and he is married to Natalie. Son Michael works for Robins & Morton, a nationally recognized health care construction firm, and he is based at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Michael and his wife, Claire, have two daughters, Audrey Lee and Harper Ann. Opa and Omi are very proud of these two girls!

Milton was invited to join the team at the Texas Lions Camp as Director of Development & Major Gifts in August 2015 working with TLC President & CEO Stephen Mabry. In 2019, TLC Board Chairman John Eads presented Milton with the inaugural “Chairman’s Award” recognizing his “next level” work with TLC, such as the Harry Wickersham Golf Tournament.
