About our Speaker:

A Cedar Park native, Lauren grew up watching her family build something from the ground up. She went on to earn her marketing degree from the University of North Texas, stepping into the world of social media management where she sharpened her instincts for storytelling, brand building, and connecting with people in an authentic way.

When an unexpected layoff became an unexpected opportunity, she pivoted and joined the family business, rolling up her sleeves and learning it from the inside out. From admin to sales rep, she tried on every hat until she found the one that fit perfectly: Business Development Manager.

It turns out that growing up in a roofing family, combined with a marketing mind and a natural ability to build genuine relationships, is a pretty powerful combination. Lauren is the bridge between Action Exteriors and the real estate and insurance professionals who need a roofing partner they can actually count on — someone who communicates clearly, follows through every time, and genuinely cares about the people she works with.

Her path to this role wasn't a straight line. But looking back, it's hard to imagine it going any other way.

About our Speaker:

Trennis serves as Vice President - Community Impact for Austin FC, the first major sports team in Austin, TX. He is passionate about using the power of sport to empower people who enrich our community.

Previous to Austin FC, Trennis has served as an Executive in the sports industry for three decades; leading non-profit Positive Coaching Alliance in the state of Texas, serving as a Player Agent at Octagon, and in Basketball Operations for the Phoenix Suns.

Born and raised in Austin, TX, Trennis is a graduate of The University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA in Communication. While in Boulder, Trennis was a scholarship athlete for the Men’s Basketball Team from 2000-2004.

Trennis believes mentorship is an essential element to how people can best serve one another, as evidenced by his selection as "2025 Mentor of the Year" by the Austin 40 under 40 Awards. In his free time, Trennis enjoys playing golf, reading, and walking Jack, the family dog. He is most proud to be husband to his wife, Amy, and Dad to their daughter.

Austin Founder Lions Club will host the Alan Ford Memorial Golf Classic on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Lions Municipal Golf Course, which the club created and built in 1924. The golf tournament is open to four-person teams and individuals who will be paired for teams, and is formatted as a scramble with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The tournament includes two closest-to-the-pin contest holes, door prizes, an awards luncheon, a silent auction and a raffle with six prizes with a total value of $10,000!

Corporate sponsorships (from $10,000 to $200) are available, and the corresponding benefits will provide brand awareness to a projected ~300 individuals. Review the flyer to learn more, and register online.

The proceeds from your participation benefit the Austin community. For the 2025-26 school year, AFLC members screened the vision of 3,132 pre-K 3 and 4 year olds, and referred 682 children (21.3%) for follow-up eye exams; the club financed more than $5,000 in eye exams/glasses. AFLC also supports children with special medical needs through Texas Lions Camp, and provides additional services in the areas of hunger, the environment, pediatric cancer, diabetes and various programs for youth.

Come have fun on June 5 and support your community through Austin Founder Lions Club’s charitable activities.

Dr. Matthew Hinsley, Executive Director of Austin Classical Guitar

Author and community arts leader Matt Hinsley will speak about his 30 years building performance and education programs through Austin Classical Guitar. He’ll share stories of impact and transformation through music as well as lessons from his forthcoming book, his ninth, entitled The Spirit Economy.

About our Speaker:

Dr. Matthew Hinsley received the 2020 Margaret Perry Award for Excellence in Education, was a 2019 recipient of the National Guild for Community Arts Education Milestone Award for more than twenty years of community service in the arts. He was named Public Citizen of the Year in 2017 by the Texas Statewide Division of the National Association of Social Workers, and was a winner of a 2015 Austin Under 40 award. Hinsley has worked as a community arts organizer in Central Texas since 1996.

As Executive Director of Austin Classical Guitar (ACG), Dr. Hinsley has raised more than ten million dollars in support of broad concert, community engagement, and educational programming, building the nation’s largest classical guitar nonprofit organization. In 2015 he joined the faculty at the University of Texas College of Fine Arts to teach courses in arts entrepreneurship and business management in the arts. In 2021 Hinsley opened ACG’s first concert and creative learning center in central Austin, called The Rosette.

Dr. Hinsley is founder and a lead author of the ACG curriculum and music library that, paired with extensive direct service, has transformed classroom guitar education in public schools across the United States reaching tens of thousands of students. The curriculum, which is now used internationally, is in service in over fifty Austin-area schools including for-credit programs at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, multiple Juvenile Justice centers, forty-five Texas districts, and forty US states.

Dr. Hinsley was trained as a classical guitarist and vocalist at the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and the University of Texas at Austin. He has written eight books including Form & Essence: A Guide to Practicing Truth, Classical Guitar for Young People, Creativity to Community: Arts Nonprofit Success One Coffee at a Time, and the film-optioned fantasy series Tinder & Flint.

All sandwiches come with lettuce and tomato. Mustard and mayo on the side.
