Lions Day at the Capitol

The Austin Downtown Founder Lions Club (ADFLC) will be hosting a Lions Day at the Capitol.

As part of our events at the Capital we will be preparing legislation for presentation to the Legislature that would promote the use of current technologies in our public school systems.

Currently official vision screening in the schools is limited to the traditional eye-chart visual method and precludes any other types.

We will also be proposing a resolution to the Legislature that recognizes the contributions to the community of each Lions Club in District 2S3.

Representatives from our Lions Day committee will be contacting all distrisct 2S3 Clubs to provide documentation on your signature community event or charity for inclusion in the resolution.

The ultimate goal is to promote the wonderful work that we do and acknowledge each club’s current efforts to better their community.

See you there!
