  • There is no fee charged for a guest visiting for the first time. Please present yourself as a guest at the registration table and we will gladly introduce you to the club.
  • Guests are charged a lunch fee of $15 for each visit after their first visit.

Author of the Year

Writer Jack W London will be speaking about his recent tour of Italy and Spain as part of the Writers on Deck Program.

At the end of the program there will be books available for purchase.



Jack W LondonSpeakers Bio: Jack Woodville London was selected by the US Navy for the Writers On Deck tour, a first-of-its-kind program for active duty military members and their families who are stationed in Spain and Italy. 

The Writers On Deck mission is to “deliver some inspiration and motivation, with humor and interest in our Navy Heritage, creating a desire to read and explore for our active duty and community.”

Writers On Deck begins the tour in May with Military Writers Society of America (MWSA) Author of the Year, Jack Woodville London from Austin, Texas. 

Jack is the author of the French Letters series Virginia’s War and Engaged in War, historical fiction based on life during World War II and its effect both on those at home and those in Britain and France, with only letters to communicate. 

Jack began his tour in Sigonella, Italy on May 21, followed by Naples on May 23 and Rota, Spain on May 25. 

Jack, who is a diplomate of the writing academy of St. Céré, France stated, “I considered it an honor to be a part of the Writers on Deck program and to speak to the Navy military and DOD families.”

 

Featured Lunch Menu: Charbroiled Chicken Briant w/ olive Madeira sauce, fresh asparagus and rice pilaf; mixed field green salad with assorted rolls and a featured daily dessert. Vegetarian meal or Grilled Chicken Caesar salad are available alternatives as well.


Please register by noon on Wednesday

We order meals based on your reservations and must pay for them even if you do not show up. Please keep this in mind if your plans shift and cancel your reservation so we can adjust the headcount.
