On Sept. 13, 2010, the Centers for Joint Replacement at St. David's Medical Center and St. David's North Austin Medical Center became the first hospitals in Central Texas to use robotic technology for partial knee replacement procedures.

The MAKO Surgical Robot allows doctors to perform minimally invasive partial knee resurfacing procedures. Our speaker this week is one of just a handful of surgeons qualified to perform surgeries using this breakthrough technology.
