Join Melinda as she shares the realities of 9-1-1 and its technology. She will also share the important things to remember when calling 9-1-1 in an emergency as well as share some updated information on Text-to-911 and Kari’s Law. You will leave this more informed and confident in calling 9-1-1 for any emergency needs.
About our Speaker:
Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) Communications Manager Melinda Crockom has been at CSEC exactly 10 years this month. She oversees the development and implementation of both 9-1-1 and Poison Control program information and materials for use by the agency, stakeholders and the general public. She also handles communications for the agency and acts as the CSEC Ambassador Extraordinaire (as her boss Mia says)! . Prior to working at CSEC, she worked in the Communications Department of both the Texas Workforce Commission and the Office of the Attorney General, with a total of over 15 years in government communications and public relations.
