As a former camper (2013-2017) and former counselor (2021), Coleson Muirhead will share the impact of Texas Lions Camp on him and his life. “This camp has given me so much more than I could ever give back, and it is an amazing place for children with disabilities,” he says. “I will share my experiences with camp throughout my life, discuss the current state of camp and inform you on the direction that camp is heading in the future. Lions Clubs of Texas have created an amazing place for children like me, and I would like to share that with you along with a huge thank you,” he said.
About Coleson Muirhead
Coleson was born and grew up in Round Rock. He is 19 years old and is entering his sophomore year at Texas A&M University where he is majoring in Aerospace Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. Coleson was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes on Sept. 5, 2008, and has been diabetic for 11 years. He attended Texas Lions Camp for five years while growing up, and this was his first summer as a staff counselor.
In his free time, he is an avid golfer, watches a lot of football and hangs out with his friends.
