Lion Beth Slade and Future Leader Dog Daxos
Introduced by Lion Greg Dew

Leader Dogs for the Blind is making a world of difference serving the blind, visually impaired and Deaf-Blind in innovative ways.  Leader Dog client PDG Tom Simmons states, “30 seconds of a Lion’s time can change a person’s life.  Anyone can do that by telling someone about Leader Dog.”  Come find out how you can make an impact.

About our Speaker:

Beth joined the Leader Dog team in 2014. As the Director of Philanthropy for Lions Engagement, Beth and her team stewards Lions clubs across the United States, Canada, Spain and Mexico.

At first, she thought the work would be “all about the dogs”. Her perspective changed after she met the people—the amazing clients, dedicated staff and volunteers whose stories and work she loves to share with others.

Professionally, Beth earned her international professional designation of Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), is a master speaker for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is a previous board member of the AFP Greater Detroit chapter.

She is a member of the Lake Orion Lions Club and earned her bachelor’s certificate from the Lions University in association with the USA-Canada Leadership Forum. She loves meeting and sharing the passion of Lionism and Leader Dog across the globe.

When she isn't busy with Leader Dog, Beth enjoys pursuing her Master Gardener certification and, with her husband Mark, working on their non-salt, no jelly fish lake front home in Michigan.
