Come meet Texas' own "Art Gecko Man" who "splatters" his work and life with fun and design. Mike Ford will be talking about his work beautifying Texas Highway overpasses and the role art and design can play in enriching our every day lives.

Speaker's Bio:

Michael Ford, Shriners clown, Ben Hur Shriners, Texas Department of TransportationMichael, a military brat growing up, began his career with the Texas Department of Transportation in 1994, in the the Bridge Design section of the Design Division. He now designs much of the art that you see displayed on the retaining walls and overpasses of our highway system.

Michael has been married to Betsy, the love of his life, for 29 years, and has two children, Alysia and Jason.

Michael has been involved in many community events and is currently Potentate of the Ben Hur Shriners and has been having and sharing fun as a clown for them for years.


Featured Lunch Menu:

Herb roasted pork loin with rosemary mustard sauce, peas, and mashed potatoes. Mixed field green salad, assorted dinner rolls, and a dessert of the day will also be included. Grilled chicken Caesar salad or vegetarian plate is available as an alternative.
