Justin Gregory
Texas Disposal System
Exotic Game Ranch

Introduction by
Lion Jim Overton

Listen to Justin as he talks about the Texas Disposal Systems Exotic Game Ranch and Pavilion, a working ranch and invited guest entertainment facility operation.

Inside the TDS facility, the exotic game ranch is complete with approximately 1175 acres that is home to more than 2,000 animals from over 80 different species. Most of these animals are not indigenous to Texas or even North America. The wildlife ranch consists of many foreign inhabitants from Africa, Asia Minor, Australia, England, Israel, India, Middle East, and Pakistan.
The wildlife reserve is used primarily for animal production and sale to other ranches as well as endangered species conservation.

At the TDS Pavilion qualified non-profit organizations are invited to host their fundraisers in a 12,000 square foot enclosed building, free of charge.

Featured Lunch Menu: Chicken Dijon, streamed fresh carrots & green beans, Lyonnaise potatoes, mixed field green salad, assorted fresh baked rolls and a weekly featured dessert. (Grilled Chicken Caesar salad or vegetarian plate available)

Speaker's Bio:

TDS exotic animalNo, that's not a picture of Justin, but it is an example of one of the exotic animals that live on the Ranch that Justin manages.

Justin was born and raised in Austin, graduating from Westwood High School in 1997. After high school, Justin spent 6 months in Serbia and Bosnia with a missionary group called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). Justin spent the next few years in Belton Texas at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor where he graduated in 2003 with a degree in Business Management with a minor in Special Education.

After graduating from college, Justin started working in his families business, Texas Disposal Systems. He helped run the TDS Pavilion where nonprofit fundraisers, business meetings, and other events are hosted on TDS property at no charge.

In December 2006, Justin and his wife Amanda moved to West Texas to start up TDS’ newest contract in Alpine. Justin moved back to Central Texas in September of 2008. Since that time, he has been managing the ranching operations which includes over 100 species of exotic animals from all over the world.

Currently, Justin is helping with the planning and design of The Austin Savanna, a safari park and entertainment facility that TDS is designing that will be open to the public. Justin, and his wife Amanda now live in Kyle with their 3 children, Chase, Reid, and Reagan.

In case you'd like to see what's already out there and happening, here's a great list of hundreds of chats available about just about whatever topic you want to chat about. Have fun!

Texas Disposal Systems, Inc. was founded in 1978 in Austin, Texas by brothers Jim and Bob Gregory. Justin is Jim’s son. The brothers grew up in the family’s scrap metal business in San Angelo.

As they learned more about waste disposal, they also learned more about the benefits of recycling and reusing materials, including keeping organic material out of the waste stream. This led to the formation of an allied company called Texas Organic Products (TOP), which produces compost, mulching products, and organic fertilizers. In 1990, TOP purchased GardenVille Fertilizer Company, one of the oldest organic garden product manufacturers in Texas.
