Ayushi Agarwala began Shinon Global USA with her father in 2014 after a family vacation in India. About a year prior, Ayushi had an unsuccessful meniscus tear knee surgery despite having one of the top surgeons and paying enormous amounts post-insurance. While in India, the father and daughter team were astonished to learn about the price difference for equitable or many cases even superior quality treatment options abroad.
Although Shinon Global began in 2007, Ayushi and her father brought Shinon to the US in 2014. Shinon serves patients throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and now North America. The Agarwalas are now working to bring high quality and affordable healthcare options to those who are priced out of the system.
In addition to being the co-founder of Shinon Global, Ayushi is a recent graduate of the Business Honors and Finance program in the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. During her time at UT she held many leadership positions in organizations such as Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, The Undergraduate Career Committee, and the Indian Cultural Association. She also works for Deloitte as a Human Capital Consultant. Prior to this, she worked at another startup called SoftCard as a marketing analyst for two years. Ayushi is originally from Plano, is the daughter of Manisha and Sanjive Agarwala, and has two siblings Varad and Shreya, and two dogs, Benji and Theodore. In her free time Ayushi enjoys running, delving into a good book, hiking, restaurant hopping, and travelling.
