Following up on our engaging luncheon with Austin Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Cruz, we are thrilled to host AISD CFO Ms. Nicole Conley for a discussion on the current climate of Texas K-12 funding and how the “Robin Hood” model of public school finance is affecting AISD.  Her presentation covering the size and complexities of the budgeting challenges facing the school district (especially in the long term) is eye-opening!  Please attend and be educated on the business-side of Education.  Learn where your school tax money is going!

Nicole Conley is the Chief Financial Officer for the Austin Independent School District and is responsible for its over $1 billion annual operating funds (inclusive of the food and debt service fund) and the over $800 million Bond program. She has over 15 years of financial management experience, 11 of which serving in an executive role. She has a breadth of experience from serving in large complex urban systems, like the New York City Department of Education, the District of Columbia Public Schools, Fairfax County Public Schools and Atlanta Public Schools.
