The Gift of Sight - 500 times Over
The Lone Star Lions Eye Bank

The Lone Star Lions Eye Bank is now 40 years old.  It started in a small room in Seton Hospital.  It now occupies a home in Manor, Texas.  It is under new management, has the newest equipment and has new policies to welcome Lions visitors.

The first transplant, ever, was in 1906, and it was a corneal transplant.  Now, over 108 years later, corneal transplants give the gift of sight.  The Lone Star Lions Eye Bank provides about 500 corneas a year for 500 people to regain their eyesight.
