Andrew Martinez
Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Prior to being appointed the President and CEO of the Hispanic Chamber, Andy Martinez amassed over 30 years of Management and Executive experience in the Information Technology field with international corporations the likes of IBM, Lexmark International, NCR and Permond Solutions. While at IBM, in addition to Branch and Regional Management positions, Andy served as the Personnel Programs Director for Field Personnel Programs, World-Wide Services Consultant on the Corporate Staff in Armonk, New York and the National Services Manager for the IBM PC Company. At Permond Solutions, an NCR subsidiary, Andy served as the VP of U. S. Operations for this IT Services organization.  He was the first employee of this start-up, U.S. Operation and was responsible for the development of an organization that grew to over 550 employees within 5 years. 

Andy also served as the CEO of the Round Rock Health Clinic, a non-profit, 501(c)(3)  organization where he helped the Clinic relocate to a larger location while seeing the patient visits grow from 12,000 to 15,000 per year.  As the CEO, he was responsible for staffing, developing operational, financial and strategic plans and processes for the Clinic while leading all of its resource development.

 Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, from Syracuse University, graduating cum laude from the University; he was also elected and inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. 

Andy is also very active in the Community holding leadership positions in civic and social services organizations in Central Texas. In October, 2005, he personally launched the first-ever, county-wide, bi-lingual newspaper in Williamson County. The newspaper, El Puente News, drew positive reviews from Austin and surrounding area media for its design and innovative approach to supplying information to the evolving County population.
